Job Opening: Barbara Meikle Fine Art

Long established Canyon Road art gallery seeks part-time gallery sales associate (~26 hrs. per week) with the opportunity to earn sales commission and potential to become a full-time employee. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and energetic progressional who is friendly and dependable and available to work some special events and openings, which may take place in the evenings, on weekend days and select holidays. The successful candidate will have previous sales experience involving personalized one-on-one client interaction and basic point-of-sales familiarity, be knowledgeable about our brand, and be able to answer customer questions.


Must have strong writing/editing skills, excellent organizational abilities, ability to pack smaller artworks for domestic shipping, and be very comfortable with Mac computers (required skills include MacMail and Address Book proficiency, some MS Excel and Word, some Adobe Acrobat). Position also includes answering phones, managing communications with clients and artists, and order and delivery management.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and support throughout the art sales process.

  • Utilize negotiation skills to close sales.

  • Open and close gallery, ability to work alone or closely with our small team.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using Microsoft Word, Google Calendar and Major Shipping Websites (ex. FedEx, UPS, etc.)

  • Collaborate with our small team to develop strategies for improving sales performance and customer satisfaction.


Details

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 – 32 per week
